Food: Steaks and Seafood are the specialties of the house along with some chinese fare but the Chimichangas are famed throughout the known world". Their website has a list of the daily specials (served in the Winter months) for the whole next month and the selections look De-frickin-licious! The restaurant is open Sunday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m and Friday-Saturday 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.

Suffice to say that Talkeetna is a Most beautiful place and is occupied by the friendliest people in this country! Take an opportunity and go visit this small town and bask in the local hospitality. The Latitude is one of the reasons you'll come back again and again. Cheers!

As we haven't been there yet, we've had to rely on information from our friend Christina, who lives in the area.
The Tee Pee Lounge is just what it says. A lounge. And from the sound of it, that's exactly where you should be when you're ready to wind down and share a few good beers and some good conversation. Situated at the end of Main Street, the bar is located in a double A-frame building and boasts one of the "flattest pool tables in town" thanks to the new, level, floor, or so they tell me. If you like to enjoy a good boxing match while quaffing a few beverages or you'd like to see the Texans kick some butt on the football field (wouldn’t we all), the Tee Pee has a big 60" TV. If you're nice, they might even let you put in your own DVD or video tape! If you have a hankering for the Blues, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the music selections and by all means, feel free to bring along your own music. I'm sure they'd "consider" playing it. Sounds like a great lounge and one we hope to see for ourselves, as soon as it warms up a bit!
